Grade 8 INDEPENDENT READING ASSIGNMENT: Literature
For your independent reading assignment you must choose two books from the list handed out in class on the green or gold sheet. The reading assignment is to read each night for at least 30 minutes without interruption. Keep a reading log for several chapters at a time.
PROJECT: DESIGN A PHOTO ESSAY:
Compile a photographic representation of the main characters and a few major scenes from the book. Clip old magazine photographs of people and places that could represent some of the scenes, settings, or characters in the book. Mount your photos on colored paper. Label each photo with quotations from the work that describes the person, place or thing depicted.
